School Workforce Census - Errors on upload to COLLECT

On submitting the school workforce census to COLLECT some schools are getting the following queries:

YonY1

The headcount number of teachers (including advisory teachers) is significantly different from last year (this collection x, last collection y: Please supply a reason.

YonY2

The headcount number of school support staff (including teaching assistants) is significantly different from last year (this collection x, last collection y: Please supply a reason.

Please note: this is a known issue and the following reply has been posted on the DfE forum:

"ignore them at present as I think there is an issue with the reference data used for those validation rules.  We will revalidate any that have raised incorrectly once the reference data has been checked and updated"

Welcome to SIMS For Schools

Support and guidance in the use of SIMS software (and related issues) is provided by our team of professional, dedicated staff who all have experience of working in the school environment. Advice is provided for the production of DFE and LA statutory returns and how to maximise the effectiveness of school data and thus reduce administrative burdens. Specialist training courses are provided in a dedicated training room and a number of training sessions are included in the support package free each year.

The SIMS helpdesk is available between the hours of 8am - 5pm during term time and from 9am - 4pm during school holidays.
